AM27C040-120DC Not detected

I have a Flashcat Xport pcb 2.2 along with the Dip 32-Plus adapter. I have set the switches on the adapter to the pinout from the diagram for the AM27C040-120DC and no matter what I do I cannot get it to detect the eprom. Is there something I am doing wrong or maybe the Eprom just isn't supported? I appreciate any help, thank you.

Yes, the AM27C040 is supported. You are in the correct mode, and if you have the switch settings correct (including the 5V), it should detect.

All the switch settings for the adapter are set to what is shown in the diagram: P1-VPP, P22-CE, P24-OE, P31-A18. Xport switches are set to APP, 5v. Tried 5 eproms ( all are AM27C040 from a lot) and none will detect, if they are supported then I have no idea what is going on unless I have a bad adapter or all these eproms are bad.

Ill check to see if I have that chip and can test to verify it for you.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I also tracked down some more of the same chips but from a US seller and when they arrive I will see if the eproms do the same as the ones I currently have.

Checked all of my OTP / EEPROM, and I don't have a AM27C040. So I ordered 2 from eBay. When they arrive, I will test and confirm if its a software issue. From looking at the datasheet, it should work and be detected. If it works as designed, then it might be your XPORT, and my guess is that possibly the 12V VPP is not working? You can check that with a multimeter and see if you are getting 12V on that pin when you are on OTP mode and do a detect.

This weekend I should have my new eeprom in and will test it along with the 12V VPP and get back with you what I find out. Thank you for taking the time to check into this. I am hoping nothing is wrong with the Xport I just bought it shortly before making this post.

I have received my new eprom and it also does not detect just like the others. I also checked and did not see a voltage change from 5v on vpp, I then checked line A9 to see if I picked up 12v on pin 26 and no 12v either. Either I am reading the wrong pins for voltage or something is not right with the xport. I will wait until you get the eproms in and see what you can find out before attempting to try and replace the Xport.

Just checking in to see if you have had a chance to test the EEPROMS.
