Blackcat help needed

Hi people.
I need help with blackcat i bought a few years ago from TCNISO, it is a pcb 1.3. The new version of flashcat 330 driver gives me code 10 in all windows from xp up to 7 x86/x64. so i use blackcat 247.RC12 drivers which install the board fine and blackcat 247 detects the device and firmware on the device fine, but since i want to update the hex in the board and i need AVR firmware tab for that, it is there where my problem is, the AVR tab won’t show up so I cannot update the firmware, the blackcat software tells me that I have firmware 4.01 and that I should upgrade AVR firmware to 6.00 or newer, but like I said the AVR tab won’t show up so I can't update. I tried all 4 possible switch placements, still no AVR tab. Any ideas I can use to make AVR tab show up to update the device? Please advice and thx.

Try using Flip software to update the device firmware , then re-install the drivers from the latest BCUSB software file , this should solve your problem.

Hi D3m0n i tried that too with all windows versions and i got to install the at90usb160 driver but flip say "could not open usb device" every time, any way to fix that so i can use flip?

If you hit the reset button on your BCUSB , does your pc make any sound to show it altering , or does it just remain in ejtag mode. ?

When i connect it to the pc, windows play the normal sound when something gets connected to the usb, when i press reset on the device windows play the sound again and the device is shown in the device mannager as at90usb160, so that makes the device detected by windows fine. Do you think that the switches are not working at all?. in the manual it it says that DFU mode is 1 to the position close to the usb port and 2 to the opposite side far from usb port, still no go also with both switches far from the usb port no go. how do i know if it is still in ejtag or a different mode.?

btw, i have pressed the reset a few times in a row and sometimes i get a BSOD.

Don't go by the manual especially on these early versions of BCUSB , as the dip switches don't do shit , i have a V1.2 and i do not need to touch the dip switches as it goes to DFU mode the minute i press the reset switch.
If you have the software open and press the reset switch does it remain on the same page ?

Ok, which driver do you recomend i use for V1.3? which one are you using? atmel driver or bcusb ?

For the V1.2 i have , i am using the latest BCUSB drivers available in the newest software pack , but you will need to upgrade the firmware on the device first , so basically we are back to square 1 , we need to get the device into DFU mode.
