cisco 3000

Have a look on both devices for a big chip , it should say Broadcom and then give you a BCM XXXX number the XXXX number should be the same on both for them to have some form of compatability

OOPS only thing is i dont have another 3000 but some way some how i will find out, so you are saying it doesnt matter if one is broadcom and the other is not the only thing that matters is the number on that said chip right?

They both have to be broadcom and have the same number , if they dont have that then whatever you try and load will not work .

So basically if they are BCM 1234 and BCM1234 they will work ,but if they are
BCM1234 and BCM5678 they will not work .

Also Broadcom and TI(Texas Instrument ) are not compatable.

ok i got this crazy idea now i am going to play around with the config, if i can load a new config that should be a plus so ill let you know what gives< since i cant find any support for this kind of modem>any suggestions?

I cant help you on that side of things regarding getting the modem online as this site is purely for programming devices with bcusb . Your best bet is to to look at the other hacking sites for this info, allthough with the new security implemented in most areas/countries now , it is near on impossable to get clones online.

But as you are eager to experiment , try everything you can , you never know you may find that elusive exploit that will allow you to do what you want. ;)

I believe the DPC3000 is TI based so you will not be able to load the firmware from that onto the 3212

i got you bro, the script is fine i did what you asked and yes it read and write perfectly every sector of the modem, thanks bro i just have to go looking now, i love my two blackcats bro

It is a good piece of equipment , not the fastest , but it gets the job done , soon we will have Linux and Mac support as well.
The developer has a lot of things in mind for this device , so expect a lot of changes to it.

Thanks for testing the script out , your help has been invaluable. Could you tell me also did you use the ISP method or did you remove the chip to read/write ?

If you use a multimeter , are you still getting voltage to the Pins on the bcusb ? does your pc still recognise the bcusb when plugging it in ?

ill get a meter and test soon, could this be fix so i dont have to buy one more cause i just think i need a backup all the time thanks alot bro

If your pc can still detect the bcusb unit , then it seems it is still working ok , what version of bcusb do you have ? As soon as you get a meter and test the points we can exclude an issue on the device hopefully.

one that works say version 1.7 and the other one say pcb 1.7

Could you post a pic of the one that says pcb1.7 ? And where did you buy both the bcusb's ?
