I just received my FlashCat USB.
When I tried to load AVR Firmware, this happens:

SPI database loaded: 159 devices supported
Welcome to FlashcatUSB interfacing software, build: 345
Running on: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit)
Device connected in DFU bootloader mode
Sending AVR DFU erase command
AVR DFU command successful
Beginning AVR flash write (25682 bytes)
AVR DFU Error
State: Device is running its normal application

Please help. Thanks in advance.

What version of FCUSB do you have and what firmware are you trying to load ?

As it is not a genuine fcusb , I cannot say for sure what the issue could be , could be a faulty device ??? Are you able to load any of the other firmware or do you get the same result ? I know that clone device cannot load the latest spi firmware but try load the nand firmware and if that fails I would advise you to contact the person you bought if from and ask for a working replacement

I am unable to load any firmware including NAND. I also think it could be a faulty device. I have placed a support request but was trying to debug on my own. It is able to erase but write fails... Could it be write protected? Switch 1 is on and switch 2 is off (bootloader mode)

Sounds like a faulty device , possibly a reflow of the chip could solve the issue , but as I do not have one of these devices it is hard to say.

This device is getting troublesome. I've been on it for almost a day now. Today morning it suddenly decided to work and I was able to flash 32K hex dump of EJTAG. When I was trying to connect to SB5101i over JTAG (i didn't solder those pin headers to the surfboard) it kept showing error condition and couldn't detect the modem. So I decided to flash the AVR fimware again and the same old error is back in its glory.

Please help me.
Here's a GIF of the issue:

I would send the device back and get a replacement , if you have checked the obvious , ie. a different pc to load the firmware , different usb lead etc , all the stuff the person you bought it from will ask you to try.

Once again, D3m0n to the rescue! The issue was with my Mini USB, probably voltage fluctuations. Brought a mini usb which got power from two usb ports. Now working awesome. Flashed it. 10q!
