Hello

i have a DPC/EPC 3212 and cant get it to work with Blackcat Rev. 1.8

i am using a 3M Testclip for SB6120 - any1 successfull used blackcat usb with DPC3212 or EPC3212?

Are you supplying power to pin 2 or do you have an ISP point on this device ?

A friend told me the ISP point on the device.. for him it works with usbjtag ng

I used 3.3V and ISP Pin and powered modem on... no detection... also tried 5V no detection.
Then i tried with Modem powered off.. no detection..

I am bit frustrated.. i use Blackcat USB Rev. 1.8 and got the 3M Testclip cable especially for SB6120 and Blackcat

I personally do not use the test clips as i find them to be hit and miss ( a bit like FCUSB) , but they do occasionally work . If you are using the ISP point then the modem should be powered on , there should be no LED activity whatsoever , does this happen on your device ? or do you LED's still flash as per normal

There is LED activity and if i get in touchwith the ISP Pin the LEDs a getting a bit darker and i hear a sound like a shortcut...

The LED's should all go out if you are connected to the correct ISP point , alternatively you can forget about the ISP point and apply power to the VCC pin on the chip itself. If you apply power to the pin itself , you must not use the modems power source at the same time.

Do you know which pin it its? Its a BCM3380 Chipset with Spiridon Flash... 16 Pins - how much voltage?

Never heard of Spiridon , must be Spansion , it will be Pin2 and normally just need to add 3.3v to it

Could you mark which pins need to be connected to which pins on Blackcat? :)
Please...

Thank you... i think i just bricked my BC :(
I was on the search for the correct ISP Pin.. then these small flat silver chip next to the atmel got very hot... now the blue LED is very dark and i dont get it to run in application mode.. damn...
thanks anyway..

If you do get a replacement device , i recommend the usbjtagNT , little more expensive , but well worth it.

Yes... thats what my buddy told me too.. but 60$... wow...

But yeah.. maybe i should do it - do you think i can use the 3M testclip with the cable? its special for blackcat :(
