FlashcatUSB with extension board for NAND

Hi,

I've got a FlashcatUSB classic board ver 2.2 and the extension board (i think it's called ec) with the adaptor for TSOP-48 NAND devices. I've connected it to the flashcat, but with the CLASSIC SPI firmware it does not allow me to select parallel NAND in the options menu.

I thought maybe I had to use the XPORT firmware, but the programmer itself seems to be trying to avoid me selecting that firmware (it's filtering on *CLASSIC*.hex). Is SPI the right firmware to do parallel NAND on flashcatUSB classic?

Thanks

Just a quick update. I've tried this with an older version of the software 566 instead of 572 and it's working fine, so I guess there's an issue with 572. (my device is flashed with the firmware that came with 572)

The developer has mentioned that there are some bugs in build572 , we are expecting an update to this soon.

I thought is is planned, they said they would no longer support the parallel adapter board

That could well be the case , completely forgot about that , thanks for reminding me.

I understand it is difficult to support different things on different boards, but having bought a FlashcatUSB Classic less than 9 months ago and expecting to use it for JTAG and parallel NAND/NOR flashing, it's a bit disappointing to know that I won't be able to do so in the newer versions of the software.

I guess I will just need to stick to older versions of the software, but a software support of less than 9 months is far from ideal. Even more disappointed will be people buying FlashcatUSB Classic now (website states it supports JTAG) when they find out it's already being removed from software.
