i'm having trouble instaling the software

i have followed the instructions to the t, i got the BSUSB 1.8 i got a cd that was with it downloaded the file , followed the must read first instruccions, done in 3 different computers with winxp, vista and 7, but when i tried to run the software from the icon that was created in the desktop i get an error msg "Blackcat engine has fail to initialize "
can someone help me 'thanks

If you set the BCUSB to DFU mode and load either the SPI or JTAG firmware do you get the same result ?

hi , yes i do
i was able to go in the folder program files /tcniso/blackcat /software and click on the blackcat icon that give me a program that reads the short flash , not the whole flash like i want to i just want to clone a modem
now i'm getting this error msg "unable to start the IO.SYS service error code = 1275

It seems like you are using the incorrect software , It looks like you are using old LPT software , goto http://www.embeddedcomputers.net/products/BlackcatUSB/ and download the correct software for this BCUSB.

BTW. I or nobody on here will help you clone a modem as that constitutes TOS .
