SB5101 flash not detected

Hi guys
New to this forum. I tried other forums but it takes weeks before someone respond there. I hope this is better place ;) .
I bought Motorola SB5101 and flashcat. Soldered 10 pins to modem board and connected to flashcat with gray 10 pin cable that came with it. Installed driver and flashcat shows in device manager. Start it and it says:
FlashcatUSB status: Connected
Device mode: Serial Programmable Interface (SPI)
Board firmware version: 4.06
Connected to device: (no flash detected)
I tried to connect the cable in many different ways but still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

you have to program the flashcat to JTAG / E-JTAG With this file that is in the \FLASHCAT\Software\Firmware\PCB_2.x\ FCUSB.7.06.EJTAG.hex Folder, you will need to read the Manual how to switch it to program mode

\FLASHCAT\Documentation\FlashcatUSB_Manual.pdf

Do I need to change anything in the software itself? Like settings? I did what you told me and now it's just keep disconnecting and connecting to the board

Once you change the board firmware the software will detect that it has been changed to EJTAG , you also need to read the manual as i suspect you have the new V2.x board and the ejtag layout is not standard .

Yes I do have 2.1 version. For the SB5101 pinout I'm using this image
attachment.php

And for flashcat as per manual. But...do they showed the pins as I'm looking on the flashcat from top and USB connection facing right or left?

So now I have this:
FlashcatUSB status: connected
Device mode: Enhanced JTAG
Board Firmware version: 7.06
Connected to device: Error to connecting to target board

On V2.x your TCK pin on fcusb is located at the back , do u have this connected as so ?

Your connection to both devices , seem ok . Strange that is does not even detect the BCM ? , is this modem bricked or when you insert power does it light up as normal ?

When I insert power the all LED blinks one time. Then "Power" LED is solid green and "Receive" LED is blinking.

So the modem itself seems to be working fine , i take it you have the power connected to the modem when you have FCUSB connected as well when trying to detect it ?

Yes. My FCUSB is already connected to the board but not PC when I hook power to modem. After power led turn solid and receive led blinking this is when I connect to PC

Also in the fcusb under settings there is a checkmark next to SPI mode (normal)

You can have it connected to PC even before you add the power , will not make much of a differance , if you F1 (detect device) when connected does it always come back saying error connecting to target board ? If yes , can you verify that your soldering of the pin header to the board is 100% correct

Yes. I tried to detect device couple times and still always says "Error connecting to target board". I'm not sure that this is soldered correctly. Will redoit and try again. This is ground/OV pin.

Pins 2,4,6,8,10 are all GND so u can use any one of those on the modem itself

I just typed in google part number that is on the sticker on motherboard 513682-003-00 and it comes up as SB5100. Is that right?

That is definately a 5101 from the looks of it , i will dig out one of the 5101's i have lying around and see if i can get a detection , last time i had fcusb connected to a 510x device i was still using bcusb v1.2
