hi i'm trying to dump my 360 nand and i'm getting no flash detected, i checked my soldering with a multi meter, and all seems good i'm assuming the kiosk pin is not connected because i dont see it in the picture

so any idea or thoughts on what i'm doing wrong?

I cant see on your pics , if your connections are as they should be , but i am assuming they are correct ? KSK is not not being used on any of the boards that i have tested so far .
Does this board get detected with any other nand flasher ? just trying to rule out if a connection on the board has been damaged at all
Also in the console window what is your output there , try a detection a few times and post the results from the console tab.

no other nand flasher to test guess i'm going to have to find my ft2232 and build one

stupid off topic question why is this forum not better advertised, why no link on the embedded computers website i only found the place by random luck
hell my blackcat usb was donated to me because the user could not workout how to use it (i looked at the manual lol) at leased now i know were to send them when they ask for help that i'm really in no place to answer (sbg900 flashing comes to mind as i was asked this today i changed the 5100 script with a different memory size taken from the usbjatg nt script no idea if it would work or not, but now he'll be on his way here when it fails)

I have noticed the Detect that was returned is from a Jasper 256 , is this the model you have ?

008A3020 - Jasper 256mb , funnily enough this is the only model that we have not tested , it works on the 512 jasper ok ,weird that it does not see the 256 , will ask the developer .

This forum was specifically made just for the bcusb ,at the time i have no affiliation with the developer other than the fact that i enjoyed messing with the bcusb and noticed everyone slagging it off , it may not be the fastest on the market , but it does the job. hence the reason i started the forum.
Since then we are slowly making progress with the bcusb , soon we will have non-dma added, this will then allow it to work with modems such as the sbg900 that you enquired about.

The developer has just sent me this for you to test , if you don't mind.
Please note only use this bc exe for the xbox test as it will not work on the ejtag mode as the developer has since modified the code , if this version works it will be in the next release.

Removed the previous test file , please try this one as a small alteration had to be made.

Same applies to this file only to be used as a test on the xbox you are trying.

PS , just noticed the sbg900 is DMA and not NON-DMA , so it should be easy to add support for it , do you get a flash detection when connecting BCUSB to it ?

it does seem like it's a 256 (it's my nephews xbox) after googleing the flash chip and it defiantly a jasper the sticker says so
still not working tho interestingly the test version reports my windows7 as being 32bit when it's not, also tryed xp in vmware player on my linux machine
and got the same detect returned thing

lol just seen updated post i think i used the 1st test version i'll try again with the second

it's not my sbg900 it's some guy on my forums anyways i linked him here, so i guess he can post about it now, guess i'll need redo my guide??(ok i wrote it in a few seconds) to usbjtag's now as i'm feeling very bad about the no real support bit

This is a debug test version ,that is the reason it will not show the correct xp version , Was the non-detection on both test files or just the first one (i have since removed this version)?

Ok thanks , bear with me i will see if i can get the developer to have another look

well it may not be the blackcat's fault built a parallel port reader (no resistors or diode) still getting no flash detected, i'll add a diode tomorrow and see what happens

Sorry for the delay , still waiting on the developer for a new version for you to test
It is strange though even if an LPT does not see the flash , BCUSB still sees the Flash config itself , very perplexing , hopefully the developer will have a solution.

Don't know if you have solved your issue with the nand , but there is a new release out ,Build282 , you can try and see if that works.

Try it again. I bet there is a bug when dealing with your specific NAND flash.

did you ever got your nand recognized? i'm having a jasper with the same thing... not detected

Is your Jasper a 256 model ?

@ Drew , is your new different xbox a 256 model also ? i am just curious as the 256 was the only one we never tested , so i am hoping there is not an issue in the software relating to this
