Getting Flashcat to recongnize a PFL064PIF

Apologies my mistake it will be pin1 cs that connects to the ISP point and not VCC

Apologies my mistake it will be pin1 cs that connects to the ISP point and not VCC

Does that mean I remove VCC from the chip when using the CS to ISP? (Because at that point I use the devices power supply)

Does CS go to ISP and CS# on the SO-16?

Sorry I have been talking out my ass again , I have been thinking about a different programmer , VCC from fcusb goes to the ISP point as I had said previously, the rest of the chip connects as normal except this time you will be using the device power and not fcusb to power the device

So I've tried a number of way and still haven't been able to get this to read the flash chip.

I was playing with both the SPI and JTAG loads on the BlackCat/FlashCat PCB v2.0 and suspecting something is up. When I switch to JTAG mode I still get power from TCK/VCC pin on the BlackCat so I'm not positive either the documentation or something on the board is wrong here.

How can I confirm my BlackCat is working?

Ryan

Contact the seller you bought 2.0 from , I believe it had an issue on the JTAG side hence it was pulled from sales.
I am not aware of any issues on the spi part though as I do not have a 2.0 fcusb , I cannot verify this.

But as JTAG does not work ask for a replacement .
