hey guys.. its me again, i have the Arris WBM760 a docsis 3 modem i can read the flash and write back to it,but i'm looking for any info into where the isp point is on this device..anyone tested this model before?

Without having the device in front of us , it will be near impossable to guess the ISP point. Your best bet is with someone who has the device

hi guys i have tested the Arris WBM 760a modem i got to read and write to the flash chip also. i applied an external 5v to one of the four pin connectors, pin 1 is vcc .. pin 4 is ground .. i made a few backups - flashed it into a stock 6120 - then flashed forceware - then flashed the wbm760a firmware back into it. worked like a charm :)

I suppose that it is equal to sb6120 you do not connect spi but you feed the arris for the 4 pines

Has not yet read the flash you have the exact wiring cabinets for arris

nemesis u used serial to read and write this? what settings did u use for hyperterminal?

there are a few methods to it..i have used both the BLACKCAT and USBJTAGNT also other devices :), option 1: if you are using the blackcat you can apply an external 5v to pin 2 of the chip. option 2: you can apply power(5v) from your external device onto pin 1 of the 4 pin serial connector and ground to pin 4 of the 4 pin serial connector. and if you are looking to try the USBJTAGNT you can use option 1, and then there are other methods and devices that you can use, everything is here for you.. just need to read-test-apply, possibly with permission from the Admin i can give further details :)

hey that much i understand....i was using option 1 with blackcat all the time....i cut a usb cable and applied 5v to pin 1 on serial and gnd to pin 4 and the modem boots up, however when i plug blackcat into to the 10 pin jtag port i get nada!... sometimes i get no flash detected and sometimes i get 000000 im using blackcat pcb 1.2 with spi firmware on it....

i was looking at the 6120 tutorial and their pin out...i think ill try that on this arris modem

nemesis, once you wrote forceware to the modem did your lights on the from get all messed up like mine, also i can't get mine to lock on now

Hey, John...the modem lights will get screwed up...no worries tho... however i have also noticed that the modem doesn't lock properly have u tried changing the tuner settings in foreceware.... also i dont think that foreceware has support for all the tuners arris has...
