Can't enter Bootloader Mode on pcb 1.5

Hey guys, I'm new to this site, and I have read through just about every thread on here just to see what you guys are all about. D3m0n - you seem pretty damn knowledgeable about everything JTAG related, and I can already say thank you for the support that you give everybody on here!

Anyway, here's my issue, and it's a pretty minor one, because my board works fully without problems - I'd just like to upgrade the firmware on it.
It's a PCB 1.5 Blackcat USB, with A160L9C on it.
The thing is, I set both switches to change the board into Bootloader Mode, but every single revision of software that I can find ends up detecting the board in the standard Enhanced JTAG Mode.
Is it possible that my switch is broken? Is there any other way to enter Bootloader Mode? If it is broken, is there any way that I could fix it myself, or should I consider just purchasing a new board?
I plan on getting a new board eventually, so if that's the case, I'll just order one.

I mainly want to upgrade the firmware because, any revision higher than Build 282 says that it's unable to read the current firmware of the device, and is unable to connect to it.

Sorry for droning on, but I thought I'd try to be as thorough as possible for you guys.
Thanks for the help! :)
Adam

Edit: Also, I've pressed the reset button - makes no difference, just resets the device and stays in EJTAG Mode. Also, I've updated the drivers to the newest drivers available with the newest revision - and also tried everything on the older drivers that I also have. I'm on Windows XP SP3 x86, also, btw.

Edit 2: That's weird, I connected a SB5101 board to it, read the Memory from it, once it finished reading and saved the file, I pressed the reset button (with the board still connected) and it went into DFU mode. Crazy, haha. Well, thanks for looking I guess! :)

Basically the BCUSB seems to have a lot of faults due to the cheap components in it , unfortunately some work for ages and others don't.
Anytime i have come across an issue like this , i normally just reflow the chip.
