What version pcb is your fcusb, how are you connecting to the spi chip?

its 2.2 but i think problem is in fcusb that was have been exposed to a coffee spill-it worked for a short time but now not recognizing anything or "not in library" so i have ordered a new unit-hopefully this fixes the problem, thanks for your reply.

ok-i got the new unit today hooked it up and triple check the connections and still no flash detected on spi. i cannot figure it out. device is recognized by windows ok, no driver problems, brand new 5252 clip, new fcusb. wtfo?Fcusb_hookup[1].jpg

I have come across SPI flashes that you connect your pomona clip to and it is detected every time, I have also come across others that are hard to detect, you have to play with the pomona clip quite a bit to get it to detect.

it looks well connected, it must be set to 3.3v fcusb ... to detect it you must plug / unplug 12v of the cable modem for only 1 second without disconnecting Fcusb + pomona and detecting F1 again

If that is a 6141 I have tried a trick where while connected, I have connected the standard 12 V power cord to the modem for less than a second and unplugged it right away. Then attempt to detect. Mind you this is while the programmer is connected. I have done this with my blackcat usb, my usbjtagnt, and my xport. they have all worked with that trick.
