SB5101U error mismatches

Hi,

does anybody knows why i get a lot of error mistaches while programming my SB5101U? i've tried different flash dump but still get the same message. btw, when i plug in the power the lights come on for two seconds and then turns off. i read on this forum that that's a sign of a bricked modem but i haven't found a solution.

can you please help?
 
Check the length of your wires from FCUSB to the chip , they should be as short as possable.
 
They are just over 4 inches i also checked with a multimeter and it seems fine. I read about LibUsbDotNet.dll. could it be the cause?

The dump you are trying to write to the modem , has it been proven to work on another device , just trying to find out if the dump is maybe corrupted .
 
I tried quite a few dumps already but they all get mismatches. Even the original modem dump and still mismatches.

I was reading about another user having problems with mismatches and he tried several computers of his but when he tried at a friends house it worked. Apparently the problem was related to the LibusbDotNet.dl file and he ended up replacing it with another one. I wish i can find that post again but haven't been able to find it.I do remember that you were trying to help him though.

In your experience, mismatches errors are triggered by what?
 
Do me a favour , can you try build 326 in the download section and see if u still get any errors.
 
hi D3m0n. I tried BCUSB 326 and didn't work. I also tried changing to BCUSB firmware to 3.04 from 3.05.

When I issue the memory.erasebulk i can tell that it erases the memory because i see all FF on the SPI flash. So apparently the BC is writing on the flash but i don't understand why I keep getting errors on data verification mismatches.
 
Problem solved. I tried BCUSB build 282 and was able to program it sucessfully. No errors of any kind.
 
Glad it works now , i need to find someone to have a look at the code at see if we can get it fixed.
