Unable To Read Microchip 25AA160A

Hi,

In SPI EEPROM mode the Microchip 25AA160A is detected by Flashcat Classic.

However, the dump is empty.

Is there a step I am missing?

Would Flashcat Professional address the issue?

Hello, tryed to read 24c16 i2c device. Is deteced by flashcat but hex dump is 0x00. What could be wrong here?

SPI EEPROM does not have a detect mode, so if it is not connected correctly, then it will not show actual data from the chip.

I have attached some images. The Flashcat software is showing detected. Is this a false reading?
