Netgear CG814CCR v2

Right i think there needs to be an adjustment made in the BC software itself , so let me have a word with the developer and see what he has to say , as the reads on the full dump are not correct on BC

This is what I get with Default Script

Hope this helps

We seem close

Default script is still giving issues as well , which leads me to believe it may be a sequence in the software , as it is only reading the first 4MB of data , so instead of starting at 0x0 it seems to be reading from 0x400000 and placing that at 0x0 , if you get what i mean.

Yep

The 8 Mb Dump

Should be 8 MB

The software is not expecting a flash bigger then 4 MB :(

The CG's are all 8MB

The D3 Modems are all 8MB or bigger..

But they are SPI

Not JTAG

The BC works right with them in SPI Mode.

JTAG Mode is limited to 4 MB...

I got my Virgin CCR today!!!!!

I made a good 8 MB Dump by using the NT xml

and one extra step

after detect

program

program

couple of times till trap comes and stays on!!!!!!!!!!!

Then the xml works perfectly!!!!!!!!

I made a working 8 MB Dump!!!!!!

and Image1

and Image2

and Boot

and Cfg

I tested it by using it to flash my CCR to Virgin!!!!!

and Back...

and Back to Virgin!!!!!

:D:D:D:D

Now we have to get the xml to that itself!!!

I will upload the images!!!!

I checked it in Serial and the Images are perfect!!!!

Image2, and Image1

I wish the Bootloader could Upload!!!!!!

Not just Download....

That would be great....

Excellent work , I am still waiting on the developer getting back to me on a resolution for the bcusb software , but i now believe the last script we used has the correct offsets. But i would not use it until we have heard from the developer.

When you mention the bootloader , are you saying NT will not load the bootloader ?

I was talking about the built in Noisy Boot-Loader...

I wish we could add a Upload option

NT is working great!!!!!

I do

detect

then program

turn TRAP ON

And all the regular options work great!!!

You can Read & Write at FULL SPEED!!!!

Does the BC USB have a similar cmd????

Unfortunately BC does not have such a command as it is a basic read/write software . It was developed to be a cheap easy to use programming device. Not really designed for de-bricking etc. I am in talks with the developer to get certain devices added like routers etc , to make it easier to add custon DD-WRT or Open-WRT firmware.
At least NT works ok now , i think someone should talk to the NT developer to get him to sort the modem out , he should be able to add the modem properly to his software , which would allow you not to need the program command for TRAP ON.

THANX

Working on it :D :D

We sent him a CG814CCR v2

Just got the new Black Cat USB in the Mail!!!!!!

That, was fast!!!!

Testing

I see the developer of Usbjtag has made an xml for this modem but named it TCG814WGV28M , let me know if this works ok on your modem , if so i will alter the script for BC to see if it picks up anything at these offsets.
Post a full dump for me please
Added the BCUSB script with same offsets , so if you could post both full dumps for me please to compare

Do this for me run this command in BC console JTAG.FlashFind and tells me what comes up

JTAG.FlashFind

Flash device found at: 0x1E000000

I changed the script to 0x1E00000

JTAG.Flashbase(0x1E000000)

IT Reads

But I dont think its 8 MB

It lloks better, its the start of Image1 or Image2
